This Noro hat went from good to not so good when I decided to give it a soak to soften it up a bit. The pattern is also available on Ravelry. I used a US #7 needle and knit according to instructions. It turned out a little large but would be a perfect snow-shoveling hat for my large head. After I gave it a soak, it grew and grew and grew. At that point I decided I had two options....either frog it or see what felting would do to it. I chose the later. After felting, I had a good fitting hat but really lost what the hat was originally suppose to be. This hat will go the the "hat and mitten box" at the cabin and will get worn. It's a full coverage hat and will be really warm. It will be just right on those cold winter days.
