Using the Log Cabin pattern from Mason Dixon Knitting, I've been using my sock yarn scraps. Wonder on long it will take to knit a quilt using US #2 needles and sock yarn? It's a good winter project--added warmth while watching TV.

Camouflage Socks – Sedona Style
If you have even been to the red rock area of Sedona, you will understand my title for this post. My picture doesn't capture the true color of the socks, but it sure does remind me of the red rocks. These socks will be gifted to my friend who left Michigan to retire in Sedona.
Socks for Rory
Almost two months have lapsed since my last post. Again, time to reacquaint myself with Typepad.
Cannot seem to get away from the sock knitting. Think I knit them because they are so portable. These socks were knit with color 100 Trekking (XXL). One of my favorite colors. This is pair number 3 that I have knit and I've also gifted this yarn to my knitting friends.
These socks are for a very good friend who is a knitter, but not a sock knitter. I worked briefly with her during the fall getting her started on a pair but our time was short and there are many miles between us so I doubt that those socks got worked on once we parted.
Packed them and sent them off to Wyoming just this week. She will love them.
